Problem
If you configured the EMC SMI-S Agent (ECOM) connector to monitor Vmax/PowerMax through the WBEM protocol (HTTPS/5989), Hardware Sentry KM and this connector will no longer work after migrating to Dell Solutions Enabler v10.
This problem occurs because the SMI-S provider/WBEM protocol, also known as ECOM, is no longer supported starting from version 10 of Dell Solutions Enabler (see Dell Solutions Enabler 10.0.0 Release Notes).
Solution
To monitor Symmetrix systems, you need to use a version of Unisphere for Vmax/PowerMax that supports ECOM/SMI-S provider, such as v9.x (up to v9.2).
