Introduction
This article explains how to monitor remote Windows hosts without credentials by using the PATROL Agent as a network service.
Procedure
-
Open the Computer Management program on the server from where the PATROL Agent is running:

 -
Right-click Power Users Group, select Add to Group and then click Add.
 -
Change the location to your localhost.

 -
Search for the NETWORK SERVICE account and click OK.

 -
Launch the services.msc
 -
Right-click on the PatrolAgent service and select Properties.

 -
In the Log On tab, click Browse…, then search for the Network Service account. Clear the password if you do not want to specify one.

After a restart, the BMC PATROL Agent will run as a Network Service. You can then add remote Windows hosts without providing System Credentials.
